After a rigorous application journey, Solid is now an official member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO). This achievement marks a significant milestone in our ongoing mission to uphold the principles of fair trade and ethical production in the creation of our handcrafted products.

It has been a journey of continuous improvement, learning and communication with all of Solid's workers. 

The 10 WFTO principles

These principles guide every step of our production process, from sourcing materials to creating our handcrafted products:

4. Fair Price: Our products are fairly priced, reflecting the hard work and dedication of our artisans. 
5. No Child or Forced Labor: At Solid, we firmly stand against all forms of child and forced labor. Our products are made with respect for human rights.
6. Commitment to Non-Discrimination, Gender Equity, and Women’s Economic Empowerment: We champion non-discrimination, gender equity, and women's economic empowerment. 
7. Freedom of Association: Solid encourages active participation by our artisans. Together, we shape a better future.
8. Ensuring Good Working Conditions: Our workplaces are safe, and we prioritize the health and well-being of our artisans.
9. Providing Capacity Building: We're dedicated to providing our artisans with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive. 
10. Promoting Fair Trade: We actively promote fair trade, raising awareness about the importance of honest relationships between producers and consumers.
